Training Unit: Courses & Workshops

The Israel Center for the Treatment of Psychotrauma has been training over 1,000 therapists all over Israel in the past years and is holding, since 1999, courses and workshops for mental health professionals (clinical psychologists, psychiatrists and social workers) on trauma treatment.

In Jerusalem, we held training for organizations such as BITUCH LEUMI (Social Security), mental health clinics, the welfare department in Jerusalem municipality, the educational - psychological services, children - parents centers and departments in hospitals such as Alin, Hadassah and Shaare Zedek. In addition, we held 11 cycles of Somatic Experiencing workshops.

Throughout Israel, we gave courses to emergency coordinator from the Ministry of Health, to directors of mental health centers in the south, to TELEM teams, to mental health clinics staffs, to educational - psychological services and to parents - children centers in different cities. In addition we held a 2 years course for trauma treatment in the Ethiopian community, a 2 years course for treating children in collaboration with the Jewish Agency and a course for therapists in the Palestinian Authority.
